Coffee grinder
The coffee grinder is excellent. It works well, but as all grinders, it is loud. The shipping was incredible - I ordered on Wendnesday and it was at my home on Friday morning. The service is terrific and I recommend this grinder.
Great Price BUT Bad Design
I have owned this product for three months now and it has served me well; coffee and nuts are ground very fine. However, the non-oval shape of the inside makes the finer ground coffee stick to the edges and you have to take a spoon to scrape it out. Kind of messy like the other reviews state, but if your looking for a simple grinder for great price look no further.
Noisy, Messy, But Worked... for Two Months
I bought this grinder based on all the outstanding reviews. It was very inexpensive, which usually says a bit about the quality. But, the reviews were so good, I thought I'd give it a shot. Initial thoughts... The grinder is awful on the ears, very loud and high-pitched. We were using a Melitta with a built-in grinder, which just had a not-unpleasant grinding noise. The Krups was very messy. You have to turn it upside down and dump the grinds into the lid in order to easily transport them to your coffeemaker. And a lot of the grinds remain behind, forcing you to use a brush or your finger to scrape them out. So, I wasn't too excited about this Krups grinder but figured I'd put up with it. Then, after about two months of daily use, the blade stopped turning. The motor was running but the blade was so loose that I could easily pull it off. I attempted to fit the blade back snugly. It appeared that it should screw in. No dice. Fortunately the store I bought it from took it back. I'm glad everybody else likes this grinder. I found it unpleasant to use and cheaply made.
Okay grind but quite messy
The grind is pretty inconsistent. I often find whole beans in an otherwise fine grind. This grinder really makes a mess. The way that the top sits inside the bottom makes it difficult to separate without spilling grounds in the process. The top can be rinsed, but the bottom part with the blade has to be wiped out with a damp cloth. I'm looking for something better.
