Cuisanart Thermal Carafe
I needed a backup pot for my Cuisinart Coffeemaker and this does the job. It was exactly what I was looking for. Apparently it fits several different Cuisinart 10-cup thermal coffee makers but Cuisinart does not make this interchangeability very obvious.

Great replacement
I own the 10 cup Cuisinart Grind and Brew model # DCC 690, purchased at the membership warehouse that starts with C. I owned it for about 18 months before I accidently broke the glass carafe. I searched in vain locally to find a replacement, but all I could find was the 12 cup glass carafe which looked too tall for my model. I didn't want to go to the expense of buying another machine, so I checked online, found this carafe and read the reviews. Although I didn't see any that referenced my specific model coffee maker (all mentioned the 12 cup version), I took a chance and ordered this thermal carafe hoping it would fit. I received it yesterday afternoon and found out that it DOES fit. Today, I brewed my first pot and followed the suggestion to pre-warm with hot water. Everything worked as it should and the coffee came out great.

Excellent Carafe
We wanted the carafe and didn't want to buy a new coffee pot. So glad they make the carafe to work with the old model!

Dripless spout excellent thermal
truly dripless carafe. The coffee was made at 6 am was still steaming hot at noon and a drinkable warmth at 4 pm.
I wish all coffee makers would develop this spout that directs coffee/water where it is suppose to go and not 5% ending up on the counter !

Don't put in the dishwasher!
I really love the Cuisinart coffee maker, even though you need a "preflight checklist" to use it. You will only forget the basket lid once or the filter once!

I am not sure how long the carafe will keep coffee hot. I usually brew coffee in the morning or when guests come to dinner and use it right away or within a short period of time. I am too impatient and do not use the pour spout. It is far too dainty and slow for me, so I just take the lid off to pour the coffee.

I really, really like the coffee maker, but the carafe has been a problem because the instructions do not include a warning saying that the carafe is not dishwasher safe. Now that I know this, I expect trouble free service from the new carafe.

I put all of the parts in the dishwasher for years. One day I noticed a sloshing sound when I removed the carafe from the dishwasher. Thought maybe water was trapped in the handle. Took off the handle and scraped about a teaspoon of bacterial crud from under the handle, but no water. (I will be periodically cleaning the handle from now on. Yuck.) I turned the carafe over and shook it, and water drained along the inside of the carafe. So I think I have been drinking coffee flavored with old dishwater for quite a while.

I checked in my closet because I have a newer carafe that I only use when guests come over. I can brew regular and decaf coffee after dinner and have a carafe for each. I had only washed it a couple of times, and there was water inside that one also.

I called Cuisinart. The new one was still under warranty, but they would not honor the warranty in my case because I had bought it through Amazon. (I have the shipping membership and try to order everything on line through Amazon.)

The Cuisinart rep said that had I bought it from Cuisinar, they would have been willing to replace the carafe because she acknowleged that there is nothing in the instructions saying don't put it in the dishwasher.

The Amazon customer service department (thank you!) got this straightened out, and I have a replacement carafe that I do not place in the dishwasher and it is fine. I will be paying for another one myself to use as a spare, as the original appliance is about 3 years old and the carafe is getting scratched up anyway from normal wear and tear.
