Great coffeemaker for the price
We had the Krups coffee and espresso maker for years, which leaked practically the whole time, but I got used to it. Next we used the Cuisinart Grind and Brew which we received as a gift. That was the coffee machine from H---, but the coffee in the end, was really good. Oh my, it leaked, all the parts to clean, the filter basket constantly popped out (we rubber banded it), it was as loud as a jackhammer in the morning etc. etc., just awful. After using this Hamilton Beach now for a few days, I am thrilled! Nothing leaks so far, it's quiet, the coffee is hot and delicious, one basket to remove and empty, it's just great. I think it's great looking too, up there with the Krups and Cuisinart at a fraction of their price. The downside is that the lid lifts length-wise and can't be lifted under our cabinets so the unit has to be pulled out to fill. I would give it 4 stars for that, if it were a $150+ coffeemaker, but for $50 or so, I'm very pleased with this nice machine. I highly recommend it! If things change over time, I will gladly update my review.

Coffee pot review
I love this coffee pot! I had it in red which I moved to my second home and bought this one to to go with my other black and stainless kitchen items. It's rich looking, doesn't drip and makes a good cup of coffee. I highly recommend it!

HOT HOT
When our Mr. Coffee played out, I ordered this coffee maker from Amazon based on its reviews. I agree, this coffee is more enjoyable because it so hot when you pour it up. It is hot when it makes and stays hot. In my opinion, unless you are extremely pleased with the coffee maker you have, you won't be disappointed with the Hamilton Beach 43254.

No spilled water!
This is the first coffee maker I've owned that doesn't spill water all over the counter when you're trying to pour from the carafe to the reservoir. Brilliant! Other reviewers say the access hole is small, and it may be, but I've seen bigger accesses and the carafe still spilled water everywhere. This design works! (The access is sloped like a funnel, making it even easier.) It also pours cleanly from the pot to the cup. And get this: it has not made a mess with the coffee grounds even once! As advertised, coffee comes out hot and stays hot on the plate. Super easy to set the clock and the timer, unlike my previous unit. Recommended.

Leak Proof Spout NOOOTTTTT!!
On the handle of the coffee maker is a tag that says "Leak Proof Spout". I should send a video to Youtube to show how non-leak proof this thing is. Sent the first one back and got a second....guess what? It leaks...now I call HB direct to see if they would send me just the carafe...so I could help the environment...they said yes but were going to charge me for the shipping...this product and company - A joke!!
