From the Editors

Enjoyment made easy. The Saeco Odea Go offers design created by BMW Group DesignworksUSA to please all coffee epicures who prefer a sovereign style. Soft lines and inviting shapes give this machine a very special character in every way. The components and features are placed to simplify its every function; just push a button to have everything adjusted to your taste. The Giro interface allows you to choose the amount and aroma of your favorite coffee, the drip tray height is adjustable. Made to last long and to offer the same standards with every cup of coffee, the Odea models make a statement in flavor as well as quality. For perfect-tasting coffee every time. The ceramic grinder is Saeco's most recent innovation, available in all new models of the Saeco range of automatic coffee machines. After careful research, Saeco finally chose this material to put an end to grinding with metal components. Ceramic is inert, and thus ensures the best results without altering the flavor of the coffee. Moreover, it is perfectly safe to use. The new ceramic grinder also provides a more consistent grind, allowing perfect dosing and blending, and giving you more control over the density and body of your coffee. And that's not all - the amount of coffee residue left in the cup is substantially reduced. Long-lasting, minimum noise! Thanks to its sturdy build, the ceramic coffee grinder will quietly grind to the same consistency and high standards for a longer period of time. The drip tray can be easily raised or lowered manually with a simple touch, allowing for different cup sizes. Espresso cups or glasses can easily be accommodated. The Pannarello frothing device dispenses steam in three different directions and makes it easy to froth milk for cappuccinos and lattes. It also dispenses hot water for making hot drinks and soups, and is completely removable for easy cleaning.

Customer Response

Hunque of junque
My machine stopped working the second day I tried to use it. Customer service is not in on weekends (which is the only time I make coffee at home). Forget it, not worth the hassle. Thank god I got it at Costco so returning it was no problem.

Did I mention how big and ugly it is?

So Far I love it
This is my first Espresso machine but after spending a small fortune over the years at Starbucks I thought I would give one a try. I was looking for really good lattes, really easy and so far this machine has been amazing. It took 5 minutes to get it working and over the last week I have played with the options to get the prefect cup for me as well as my wife. Now I just push a button and get the espresso just how I like it and then steam the milk and I am good to go. I have to add water about once a day and that does 2-3 large cups with the milk. After I am done I wipe it off and a couple times a week empty the grounds and spent water. Once a week or so you need to remove the pump (just slides out) and rinse it off.
I have only had the machine a week so I cant talk about the durability but if you are looking for great espresso easy then I recommend this machine.

Disappointed
I purchased a Saeco, Odea Go 1 1/2 years ago and it has blinked a lot and I was always able to control the blinking lights, now I took Brew group out and now you cannot insert it back. I have followed the instructions with no success.

It was good while it lasted....
I have mixed feelings about this machine so will try and keep it to the point.

PROS
Very easy to use
Makes good hot coffee
Milk frother warms up quickly and makes for hot coffee and milk
Milk wand is easy to clean as it has a plastic cover - unlike some metal ones that dry up the milk and take forever to clean
Dreg draw is easy to take out and clean

CONS
It is pretty plastic and big
Water tank is small and therefore making coffee for more than two people can become pretty time consuming and labour intensive for an automatic machine.
Drip tray is way too small
They recommend you dismantle the machine at the end of the brewing day and rinse out a removable part of the machine above the dreg draw - which I have been consistently doing. This however seems to have been my demise as it has warped over time and will now not go back in. I think the plastic construction has allowed the warping to occur.

MIXED - It is forever flashing a light at you - once you get to know what they mean it is quite helpful to manage the machine but is initially pretty frustrating when all you want is a cup of coffee!

Long and short of it all - we have had the machine for 18 months max, and use it for four cups of coffee per day max and it has died on us.
Saeco customer service has been non existent. I cant even find a local service agent.
I don't think we have been hard on it at all and expect more for the money so I am moving on to another machine!

Great Value and Customer Service
The merchant was very helpful with this machine. I had a problem with the first machine, and contacted the merchants' customer service. They sent a replacement and took care of the shipping. Very happy.
