This company lies
My Via Venezia would not work due to faulty electronics. I returned it to the factory and was told a new one would be shipped. They lied. After confirming they received my machine I called again and was told there was a mistake in the shipping room and they would ship out a new machine the next day. They lied again. It has now been over two months and I still have no expresso machine. After reading another review with the same type story I would say don't buy from this company.

good, solid product
I suspect the first reviewer here couldn't figure out how to use the product. It's not complicated, but it isn't as simple as turning it on and pressing a button. It happens to be make a great espresso, the frothing unit works well, and it's easy to clean. The product has a nice solid weight and a fine finish, it looks pretty solid and a cut above the plastic shell units that sell for less money.

I recommend it as a good bridge product -- not quite professional but better than the most readily available espresso makers.

Shipping Garbage (Saeco Via Venezia Espresso Machine)
DO NOT ORDER THIS ITEM!!! I've had the worst experience with the saeco Via Venezia Espresso machine. 1) They forgot to ship the item and I had to remind the company that it has not been sent. 2) By the time it finally arrived a couple of days short of a month from originally ordered, it was worthless! It did not work at all. After complaining to the company rep regarding a refund they quickly sent out another replacement which would arrive in an additional 2 weeks. 3) When the replacement arrived it too did not work. Now I have 2 of these broken machines taking up alot of space! So now it's my responsibility to have these items sent back to the warehouse so some other poor unsuspecting slob can await for this garbage to arrive at their door! Once again, DO NOT ORDER THIS ITEM!!!

Great product, until it breaks
I really liked the espresso machine while it was working. Unfortunately, after a few months, every time I turned it on it blew the fuse at my house. I tried for 3 months to get it fixed, but unfortunately Saeco support does not answer their phone!!! If you stay on hold (even if you wait an hour), you eventually get a recording that asks you to leave your number. They call you back at THEIR convenience (usually in the middle of the day when I was in a meeting). When I complained about this, they did not seem to think this was a problem. I finally did get to speak to someone (I happened to be free when they called) and they promised to send me paperwork that I needed to fill out to get it fixed. I never got that email so I started all over again trying to get their call when it was convenient for them. When I finally got to speak with someone else, they told me the same thing. This time I stayed on the phone with them until I received the email. I emailed it back immediately and waited another 3 weeks (with several follow-up emails asking when they were going to respond) before I took it back to the retailer for a refund. I can't believe a company that does not support their products can stay in business.
